Left-handed opening batter Shan Masood has joined Yorkshire Cricket Club for the ongoing County Championship 2023-24.
After getting free from the ODI series against New Zealand, Masood traveled to England to play County cricket.
Taking to Twitter, the English club shared the arrival of Pakistan's opening batsman.
"The skipper has arrived ? Welcome to Yorkshire Shan Masood," they wrote.
In the ODI series against New Zealand, Masood scored 52 runs in three matches with a highest score of 44. He played as an opener in the last two ODIs.
Last year, Yorkshire's coach Ottis Gibson announced Masood as their captain for the county championship 2023.
Gibson had told the media that the Pakistani batter, who previously played for Derbyshire on a two-year contract, will captain the county across all tournaments the next summer.
"The conversation we've had with Shan is that he is going to be club captain going forward. Shan is going to be club captain, and he will bring his own style of leadership," he had said.
